Who we are

We have over 20 years of experience in creating tailor-made programs and enrichment experiences for Companies and Families.

We received the 2023 Small Business Award in recognition of Outstanding Service to the Community and the Universal City North Hollywood Chamber. Cherish The Family Inc. is the mother company to former Joyce’s Toluca Lake Preschool (2024 People Love Us Yelp Award), Enrichment Educational Experience and the Art Boutique @ Mulberry Row. Our venues support Family Unity through art expression and education for people of all ages from toddlers to senior citizens. We are also in the process of opening a halfway house to help families on their journey to recovery from addiction.

Family First: We prioritize the well-being and unity of families, recognizing their vital role in shaping lives and communities.

  1. Empowerment Through Support: We provide tools, resources, and guidance to help individuals and families overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

  2. Inclusive Care: We honor diversity and treat every family with dignity, ensuring our services meet the unique needs of those we serve.

  3. Community Connection: We foster relationships that build stronger, healthier communities by promoting collaboration, understanding, and mutual support.

Max McManus

Our CEO’s passion for service and innovation extends far beyond the office. With a rich background in entrepreneurship and education, she has pioneered programs that make a lasting impact. She created one of the first after-school programs designed to elevate children's learning experiences and founded a preschool offering a comprehensive curriculum, including science, art, and music. Additionally, she managed an art gallery with a meaningful approach to art and its real-world applications while developing enrichment programs for senior citizens.

Her journey began as a leader at CBS, overseeing daytime program practices to ensure each program stayed compliant with the company's culture and values. Her commitment to excellence and community service has continued to grow ever since.

Today, she serves as Project Manager at Bel Air Church, where she leads a Christian-based program, and she is also consulting and designing a new children's center at Hollywood Presbyterian Church. Additionally, she conducts staff training for after-school programs at various schools.

When not serving the community, she volunteers by walking dogs for the Pet Adoption Rescue Center, teaching art to homeless children at the Northridge Rescue Mission, and mentoring women through the “What Fuels You?” program.

At home, she enjoys gardening, reading, cooking, and cheering on her favorite football teams—uninterrupted! Most importantly, she treasures her family and believes that all children are gifts. Her guiding principle: Educators have the honor and responsibility to help children discover their unique talents and nurture them every step of the way.

None of this would be possible without the incredible team behind Cherish The Family Inc. Their dedication, compassion, and expertise are the driving forces behind our services. We are deeply grateful for everyone involved—past, present, and future—who shares our vision of strengthening families and building a brighter, more connected community.
